Passion for innovation

We can’t reinvent everything, but we sure can make a lot of things better.

This begins with asking questions, trying things out and with bold visions. Some things fail, but sometimes great things are achieved. It might be practical LEDs in the umbrella or sophisticated finishing options. Every innovation is an incentive for FARE to always be one step ahead in development and design.

To see and be seen

A good example is the new FARE®-Skylight – an automatic umbrella with LED interior lighting for better orientation in the dark. The lighting element is integrated at the top of the shaft and switches on automatically when the umbrella is opened. If you do not need any lighting, it can be switched off using the release button. This saves the battery.

FARE umbrellas do not come straight off the shelf

Our designers, technicians, and sales staff passionately work on innovations, which are produced right down to the last specification from specially selected, long-established partners. This can mean special handles in a noble design, special materials such as our original waterSAVE® cover material or unconventional umbrella shapes. Many models are therefore exclusive to us and our trading partners. You can recognise these models by the Exclusive FARE label.

FARE®-umbrellas win major prizes again and again

Various models have been able to convince the top-class jury of experts of the Red Dot Award with their design: twelve times in total. At the Promotional Gift Award, the international prize for haptic advertising, a FARE® umbrella won most recently in 2020. At the PSI Sustainability Award, the sustainability prize of the advertising industry, FARE won two prizes in the product category and most recently the “Innovator of the Year 2021” prize.

Suitable advertising media for every target group

Every new development appeals perfectly to new target groups. This is also the case, for example, with the new AC midsize umbrella FARE®-Skylight. Thanks to its integrated lighting, it is the ideal ambassador for all industries involved with light: from luminaire manufacturers to electrical retailers and building services engineering. A special effect can be achieved by printing the shade cover when the light is switched on – similar to the atmosphere that can be created with light.
