For this the Colorline was awarded the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020 by the top-class jury. This makes it the 12th model from FARE to receive the coveted design award.
Exceptional design
The umbrella model has a coloured painted shaft, the colour of which is repeated in the plastic joints on the black fibreglass ribs and on the colour trimmed push-button. The painting of a multi-part steel shaft in a bright, precisely matched colour is a novelty: Thanks to a patented system, the shaft does not scratch even during continuous operation. There are 6 colour variants available in total.
Also a masterpiece in technical terms
The matt/shiny contrasting Soft-Feel handle with colour trimmed push-button and the leather look underline the high-quality design concept. The umbrella can be easily opened and closed at the push of a button. Fibreglass ribs make the umbrella very stable. It can be used straight away again after being turned inside out by the wind. This makes it very durable, scoring points in terms of sustainability.
waterSAVE cover material protects the environment
The Colorline is also sustainable in another regard. The waterSAVE cover is made of polyester pongee, which is produced using recycled plastics and is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. In a modern production process, the yarn is already fully dyed. This lowers CO2 emissions, lowers energy consumption and reduces the emission of sewage sludge. Up to 6 litres of water are thus saved during production.
The fact that design and sustainability are not mutually exclusive probably also convinced the jury of the renowned design award.
