Notes on battery disposal

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. Obligation to Return and Return Options

As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You may return used batteries of the same type that we carry as new batteries in our product range to our distribution center free of charge. We will accept returns regardless of whether you purchase a new battery from us.

Return address:

2. Meaning of the Symbols

Batteries are marked with symbols. These symbols mean:

● The crossed-out trash can symbol: The battery must not be disposed of with household waste.

● Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead

● Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium

● Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury

3. Safety Instructions for Handling Batteries

Special caution is required when handling lithium-containing batteries. Damaged or swollen batteries may pose a fire hazard. Store used batteries in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, and insulate the contacts to prevent short circuits. Dispose of damaged batteries separately at collection points.

4. Environmental Impact

Batteries contain heavy metals and other substances that can pose a significant risk to the environment and human health if disposed of improperly. By recycling them separately, you help prevent environmental pollution and recover raw materials. Disposal in household trash is prohibited by law.

5. Tips for Reducing Waste

Use batteries for as long as possible and opt for rechargeable versions to reduce waste. Avoid deep discharges and use appropriate chargers. Store batteries at room temperature.
