What makes a pocket umbrella
A pocket umbrella folds up, so it fits into a handbag, briefcase and backpack, and the smallest models even fit into a jacket pocket. Folded, our pocket umbrellas measure around 20 to 37 cm depending on the model, and when open they offer a diameter of 88 to 123 cm. This means the umbrella is always at hand when a shower comes and then disappears back into its sleeve.
Not all pocket umbrellas are the same
- Mini pocket umbrellas: particularly short and light, ideal for jacket pockets and handbags. The smallest models are listed under small umbrellas.
- Classic pocket umbrellas: with a diameter of around 98 to 100 cm, the versatile companion for every day
- Oversize pocket umbrellas: with a diameter of 105 to 110 cm, extra protection with a compact folded size
- Golf pocket umbrellas: with a diameter of up to 123 cm, room for two; see large umbrellas
Manual or automatic
Pocket umbrellas come with three types of operation. Manual models are opened and closed by hand. With automatic open, the umbrella opens at the push of a button. With automatic open and close, it opens and closes at the push of a button. This is practical when getting in and out of a car with your other hand busy. All automatic models are listed under automatic umbrellas.
Your logo on a pocket umbrella
Your logo goes on the panels and, depending on the model, also on the closing strap, the handle and the sleeve. The Skylight® adds a special effect: in the dark, the interior lighting makes your logo glow. The available methods are explained under Printing on umbrellas.
Highlights of our range
- To wear over the shoulder: The mini pocket umbrella FARE® FiligRain ToGo weighs just 100 g. Its shoulder strap attaches to the umbrella or the sleeve with a click fastener, and the cover offers UV protection with UPF 50+.
- Colour for every corporate design: The mini pocket umbrella FARE® AOC with automatic open and close is available in around 30 colours.
- Glows inside: On the oversize pocket umbrella FARE® Skylight®, LED interior lighting provides orientation in the dark. The light is switched on and off at the safety slider.
Pocket umbrellas as promotional items
No promotional umbrella goes along as often as a pocket umbrella. It travels in bags all day, is at hand with every shower and takes your logo to the places your customers go. For a business look, classic colours such as black, grey and navy are ideal. For large quantities, the topless mini pocket umbrella is an attractive entry-level model.
