Social - Commitment

Social? Always!

Sustainability and social responsibility don’t start and end in your own company, with products or with employees. Whether in the local area, across Germany or internationally – it is about taking responsibility. And it is often easier than you might think.

Fair in the Far East!

Back in January 2018 and as part of a strategic reorganisation, the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) renamed itself amfori. The BSCI and BEPI names were retained, but placed under the amfori brand. They became amfori BSCI and amfori BEPI. The amfori logo will replace the BSCI logo going forward.

The amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (amfori BSCI) is a Code of Conduct based on the international labour standards set by the ILO (International Labour Organization). It helps global enterprises build ethical supply chains and monitor and continuously improve social standards worldwide. This European social monitoring system was originally founded back in 2003 by the Foreign Trade Association (FTA), now amfori.

FARE is a member of the amfori BSCI. Our production facilities for the production of umbrellas have been audited in line with the amfori BSCI requirements and all hold a valid audit report.

Benefits of the amfori BSCI audit:
✔️ Acting responsibly and long-term improvement of working conditions
✔️ Credibility and trust of customers, consumers, business partners investors and employees
✔️ Save costs and time thorugh avoidable multiple audits
✔️ A transparent and internationally recognised monitoring system
✔️ The basis for international social management standard certification according to SA 8000*

amfori BSCI Code of Conduct:

✔️ Special protection for young workers
✔️ No forced labour

✔️ No precarious employment

*The requirements of the amfori BSCI CoC are included in SA 8000 and are recognised.

Taking local responsibilitys

We are working together to achieve a shared goal. Everyone plays their part in turning the whole into something special. As a company, we are committed to ethical business practices and play our part in keeping our employees healthy, in creating new jobs and in establishing a good working environment.

We have been giving young people an interesting insight into work through the opportunity to take part
in vocational training and a dual degree course since 2019.
Our colleagues benefit from our occupational health management, flexible working hours, company gym and more.

The BRICHBAG concept is simple: waterproof and dirt-repellent rucksacks that can hold homeless people’s few belongings. In 2017, FARE provided 500 luminous orange mini umbrellas at short notice.
