Regular umbrellas: the classic among umbrellas
What makes a regular umbrella
A regular umbrella has a continuous shaft and does not fold up. This makes it more stable than a pocket umbrella and allows a larger span. When open, a classic regular umbrella measures around 100 to 105 cm and reliably protects one person, including shoulders and bag. Depending on the model, the shaft is made of metal, aluminium, fibreglass or real wood. A typical feature is the crook handle, which lets you hang the umbrella comfortably over your arm or on a coat rack. Many models also have a straight handle.
